Scripture Sundays

During lock down various Christian artists went online to keep us conntected. On of these was  Lou Fellingham  with her Worship Wednesdays and coffee morning. Thanks to Holyhope.co.uk we would listen to these together as a group and journal what came to us.

 A garden prayer from August 2020 in Jeremiah 29:5 Build houses and settle down; plant gardens and eat what they produce. 

I used Gesso to prepare the page, water colours, neo colours, stickers and diecuts.

The first hymn was Bless the Lord O my soul.

The children's talk demonstrated sharing love by sharing water from cup to cup while the first cup keeps getting refilled.

The scripture was Leviticus 19:18 You shall not take vengeance or bear a grudge against any of your people, but you shall love your neighbour as yourself. I am the LORD.

The sermon was thinking about our identity in Christ.

Lockdown meant we were not able to go to Spring Harvest as everything had to be cancelled at short notice. Thankfully Spring Harvest very quickly went online and had an amazing amout of content available for us on YouTube.

It was great to hear the talks and worship together while apart with chats springing up on Facebook and people staying conntected. 

A friend, Haidee (from holyhope.co.uk), who had been planning to be at Spring Harvest had a facebook group and set up a zoom group so we could share our pages and bible journalling with each other.
